This is a great place to eat. Very clean, the food is delicious and the service is better than most places. Anthony was my server and he made sure that our water glasses were full, he made suggestions on the menu, and he kept checking on us to make sure we were doing OK and if we needed anything else.
Simple and unassuming place with a sign that states guests are only allowed a 1 hour time limit. I had a great latte with hue is rancheros and split the blueberry pancakes with my friends for dessert. The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely a place that needs to be visited again.
This is my second time visiting Mari Vees and it remains a solid choice in the San Marino/Alhambra/South Pasadena area. Menu offers a lot of breakfast and variety without being overwhelming. Flavors are yummy, highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. Service is quick and friendly. Ambiance is a little plain but that's fine; I think it what makes this place work. You're here for good food and time with your company that you bring.
Tried this place like last week for the first time and got the Champ burger, and my head exploded it was soooo damn Good! had to come back again just yesterday and got the same thing haha will def be a regular here and try everything on the menu! shout out to Tony for his phenomenal service very attentive and kind
Delicious great service and family friendly ambiance. The food was delicious. There were some mixed reviews but I had to try the food for myself and I am glad I did it was great! I drive past here every day on my way to work. We will be back!! Thank you to the great cooks and servers!
After so much debate on where to go for our friendsgiving, we landed on Mari Vees for a lunch/brunch get together. Someone in our group misunderstood the dates and actually ended up going two weeks prior and absolutely raved about the steamed burger. So naturally, I had to try it. Staff was very friendly and our party is 7 had no trouble getting seated indoors the Saturday after Thanksgiving at noon. Our group ordered: -french toast -breakfast burrito -chillaquiles -huevos rancheros -BELT -Eggs Benedict -steamed burger Nobody in the group mentioned much about the food, which leads me to believe it was fine but nothing special. The chilaquiles were not up to par for that person but were okay. I tastes one of chips. Fine, but nothing to write home about. BELT was good, according to our original steamed burger enthusiast. For me, the steamed burger was disappointing. I saw so many rave reviews about it here on Yelp, but also a few less than stellar reviews and unfortunately, I'd have to agree with the latter. Nothing was wrong with it, but it was a little bland and forgettable. It could have used some salt. Which is interesting excuse my friend who loved it said it was well seasoned and she oversalts everything. I will, however, say it was overflowing with cheese, which is a selling point for me. But I wouldn't get it again, despite the general cheesiosity. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their pancakes or maybe the tuna melt, but I wouldn't seek it out. It was fine experience.
Mari Vees is a newly opened breakfast and brunch spot in San Marino, A friend and I had a brunch here on Saturday. [Parking]: Free and easy street parking. Our party had no issue finding a spot at 11:30 AM. [Amenities & service]: A unisex restroom is located behind the kitchen. Both indoor seating and outdoor patio seating are available. There's a sign asking customers to limit their visit to 1 hour in order for all customers get a chance to enjoy the time here. Customers are allowed to split bills. Friendly service! [Menu]: Chilaquiles is highlighted dish as listed by Yelp and blueberry pancake is highlighted dish as listed on Google review. They serves a small-batch roasted blend of coffee from Caffe Luxxe in Santa Monica. Chilaquiles = highlighted dish on Yelp and blueberry Pancakes = highlighted dish on Google Reviews. They also serve a small-batch roasted coffee blend from Caffe Luxxe in Santa Monica. *** Matcha Latte (hot $6): Pretty solid - the drink had a good balance between the right level of sweetness and matcha flavor. Chilaquiles (crispy tortilla chips, red salsa, sour cream, queso fresco, red onion, avocado, two sunnyside up eggs - $18): Generous portion and good salsa (not spicy). It didn't completely blow me away, but it was still an enjoyable dish. *** This is a solid all-around brunch spot to stop by if you are in the San Marino area.
Cute place and food was delicious! Service was great too! Will definitely be back! Glad to see this place pop up in San Marino.
Loco Moco(3/5): It tasted very different from what I was used to and I felt like it lacked in flavor. I felt like the mac salad tasted more like tuna salad. The meat was pretty dry but the dish was pretty filling. Service(5/5): The server was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating! Overall, I would come here again to try their other items and experience their service too!
